How can I perform a protractor/jasmine unit test on a standard gridster framework?

I've just been tasked with looking into creating some boiler plate unit tests for a gridster framework in regards to its ability to drag and drop certain tiles and getting an expected outcome.

For someone new to gridster, any suggestions on good videos (ideal) or open source code that does this?
