GoogleTest Segfault when debugging in Mac OS

I'm using the googletest unit test framework to run tests on my code. When I compile the code, it throws no warnings or errors, and runs perfectly. But as soon as I try to debug the code, the google test framework seg faults on the first line after the declaration in gtest_main.cc Has anyone seen this problem? I can't find it anywhere on the net. It makes developing tests almost impossible.
