Everything about Maven profile and spring profile?

Maven and Spring Profiles.

After a correct setup of maven profiles, spring profiles in my application, I read that maven profiles are use for preferences of application depending of environment when building and spring profiles is the same thing but when running the application(enable of disable components).

I want to know more about maven profiles, all use cases and how to link these profiles to spring profiles ??

How can theses profiles help me to deliver better software ??

What are best pratices to use profiles of maven and spring in a same application ?
