Is #489938 a good colour?

So, I've been coding my website and there's a lot of competing colours out there, like the garish #99583A and the understated #2PE (extended utf-9), but I'm really not sure if I should be using #489938 at all.

I have tried making #489938 into a more minimal, complete and verifiable example, like so:

color: #493

But since I don't understand all of the higher level stuff sometimes this fixes my header width to 36.77777%, which seems like very unusual behaviour, but I am assured by the security expert who contacted me afterward that it actually was perfectly normal, so I upvoted his answer out of gratitude.

Hence my question:

Is #489938 a good colour?

In the sense that, if I were to, say, add this colour to a background element, is it likely to break my node installation, just as a random example.

But what I'm asking is really is #489938 a good colour?
