Moles (shims) frameworks other than introduced by Microsoft

As per this this question, I understand the difference between Mocks and Moles, as it says: "Shims (known as "Moles", during development) is indeed a mocking framework that operates by way of detouring calls." I think there should be more such mocking fameworks. I searched for more Moles framework but did not get any Moles (Shims) Framework other than introduced by Microsoft (I am already aware about many Mocks framework there).

I would like to study other Moles (shims) frameworks if they are there, Please list some of those.

It would be helpful if somebody can share the reason behind the so many Mock frameworks but not Moles (Shims) framework.

I am looking for both Java, and C# world. Thanks in advance.
