Testing relationship between parts of SPA

Working on a Backbone SPA is there a fundamental difference when testing views individually as opposed to testing the various "dependencies/inheritances" between the views? Furthermore, should these "dependencies/inheritances" between the various views be included in unit-tests or should each view be tested individually having each test suit its own set-up and breakdown? When testing a SPA should there be a general set-up for all the tests, as in setting/starting the app and defining all its variables?

I am just trying to clear some questions that have been asked of me, so if any of my questions come across as "silly" please don't down-vote. I am not trying to waste anyone's time here.
