Is there a (c++) Unit Testing Framework which supports multiple IDE's/frameworks [on hold]

So I am researching how productive tests are in game development. The opinions of developers is quite diverse.


To try some things with a group of dev's I am searching a way to write unit tests. The big problem however is that they use Cmake to create build projects for different IDE's, since they ship their game to multiple platforms.


Think of it as creating a visual studio project AND a xcode project. The unit test framework should be able to work with both (and more if possible).


In short I am searching a way so that the unit test framework works independently.


In addition if anyone is familiar with testing on game engines or in game development in general please do contact me with information as well. Other automatization tools or techniques are welcome as well :)
